Two people have died in Canada following a van struck several pedestrians in the northern Quebec city of Amqui. Nine people were injured, two of them seriously, according to the police. It is still unclear whether it was an accident or a deliberate act. The driver was arrested.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau wrote on Twitter that his heart was with the people of Amqui. “As we learn more regarding the tragic events, my thoughts are with all those affected,” he said.
