Two dead in shooting in Louisville, Kentucky park – Publimetro México

An unidentified suspect opened fire on Saturday night into a crowd of hundreds at a Kentucky park, killing two people and wounding four, according to police.

Police received a notice around 9:00 p.m. to go to Chickasaw Park in Louisville, according to authorities.

“There were hundreds of people in the park at the time of the shooting when someone started shooting into the crowd, hitting at least six people,” Louisville Metropolitan Police number two Paul Humphrey said.

No suspects were initially in custody, and police asked anyone with information to contact investigators.

“At the moment we have no witnesses,” Humphrey said.

“This has been a week of unspeakable tragedy for our city,” Mayor Craig Greenberg said at the scene Saturday night, referring to another shooting Monday in which a man killed five employees of a Louisville bank as he relayed the attack via Instagram.

“On Monday we lost five of our citizens in a horrifying act of workplace gun violence,” Greenberg said. “And now, five days later, we are at another scene of a reckless act of gun violence.”
