A pilot and a passenger dressed as Santa Claus on their way to a children’s party died when their plane crashed in central France on Sunday. The men, aged 68 and 79, had an accident in their plane less than two kilometers from Vichy-Charmeil airport, the rescue services said. The circumstances of the crash “remain to be determined,” the prefecture said.
Children between the ages of five and 13 who were waiting for the plane to arrive at the Vichy Airplane Club suffered shock, according to a club member. Emergency services looked following the traumatized children.
