Two people died and another 13 were injured this Saturday in a public transport bus accident that occurred in the town of Guayllabamba, in the “Y” of Cusubamba.
Preliminary data from the Integrated Security Service (ECU 911) show that the eight affected people received pre-hospital care and were taken to health homes for a more specialized assessment.
The incident alert was received at approximately 15:55.
Specialized teams, several ambulances, rescue units, multipurpose vehicles, a tanker truck and relief personnel from the Ministry of Public Health, the Ecuadorian Social Security Institute, the Quito and Cayambe Fire Department were mobilized to the site.

In addition, multi-purpose ambulances from private institutions and National Police patrol cars were mobilized to attend to the traffic accident in the Guayllabamba sector, via the El Quinche parish, passing Cusubamba 500 meters towards Guayllabamba.

Accident
The firefighters carried out extraction work on two people who were trapped inside the bus.
The extrication phase normally begins after contact has been made with the victims and they have received their own life support in these cases.
