After the theft of a vehicle on the Tagaza – Arlit axis, on April 1, 2023, elements of the National Guard stationed in Issaknane immediately initiated a pursuit which was successful. After several firefights, the stolen vehicle was abandoned by the bandits 150 km west of Tagaza.
The second vehicle, stolen towards Agadez, was seen yesterday Sunday April 2, 2023 towards Agharous. When the alert was given, two positions of the National Guard took the vehicle in pincers. After a few hours of pursuit, the suspect vehicle and two of its occupants were taken by elements of the National Guard. A third bandit on the loose is actively sought.
The arrested armed bandits and the two recovered vehicles were presented this morning to the authorities of Tchirozérine who warmly congratulated the brave elements of the National Guard.
