Hooded vandals attacked the medical mission in Caucasia, Antioquiain the middle of the mining strike: They burned two ambulances and in one of the vehicles they were transporting a pregnant woman that she required urgent medical attention because she was in labor.

The manager of the César Uribe Piedrahita de Caucasia hospital, Humberto Bernal, confirmed that the first ambulance was burned 500 meters from the assistance center when it was parked.

Meanwhile, the other ambulance that carried the maternal, sent from the municipality of El Bagrethey burned it on the Carlos Lleras Restrepo bridge. The violent forced her to get out of the vehicle and left her abandoned on the road along with the driver.

Through a Twitter account, the governor of Antioquia, Aníbal Gaviria, described this attack as “barbaric” and said that “this is not seen even in the most acute conflicts. The public force, firmly, legally, must continue with the task of restoring public order and freedoms.
