WoW’s quest tracking system is handy but a bit limited. If you want to customize this follow-up, I suggest you discover two addons. The first is a real Swiss army knife that can add achievements and has many options, while the second is mainly limited to changing the size and location of the tracking window.
I love Kaliel’s Tracker. This addon allows first of all to modify the position of the window. No drag and drop here, you have to go through the options. However, you can position the window wherever you want, change background colors, sort by difficulty, change text size and much more. By default, the addon is not bad at all but the customization can be very advanced.
The addon offers quick (disabled) shortcuts to the quest log, achievements, and filtering system. You can indeed filter the quests by zone, those that are daily or weekly or even by instance.
The addon also manages achievements and you can display them below (by default) or above quests. Again, you can filter the achievements and decide to display only certain categories and not others.
Kaliel’s Tracker is compatible with several famous addons like PetTracker or TomTom, and you can also save several profiles according to your habits with each character. The addon is very well done and I really recommend it because it explodes the possibilities of the tracking system.
Kaliel’s Tracker also exists for WoW Classic and BC Classic.
The Hide Lens Tracker addon is significantly simpler than the previous one. It allows you to do three things:
- Show or deactivate quest tracking (with the /tot command).
- Change the position of the window with a simple drag and drop.
- Change the height of the tracking window (by writing /tot XXX or the value must be between 100 and 4000).
Please note that this addon is not compatible with Kaliel’s Tracker. However, if you just want to change the position and height of the quest window, Hide Objective Tracker might be the solution for you 😉
