After an act of vandalism last Sunday in Schwanenstadt, the police have now identified two 14-year-olds as the perpetrators.
On April 16, 2023 at around 6:00 p.m., initially unsolved crimes occurred in the area of the train station in Schwanenstadt. First, two strangers tried to set fire to a ticket machine by sticking a lit piece of paper in a ticket dispenser. Then they set fire to another piece of paper outside. Fortunately, both fires were quickly fought by the fire brigade and worse was prevented.
Extensive investigations have now enabled the two responsible persons, two 14-year-olds from the Vöcklabruck district, to be found at the time of the crime. Police officers saw one of the two on April 18 in the city of Schwanenstadt and took him to the police station for questioning. There he confessed and also named the second suspect. He also admitted the crimes when he was questioned. They will be reported, according to the police.
