Twitter resorts to a smart plan to increase revenue

According to media reports, Twitter is studying the possibility of selling pseudonyms for the accounts of some of the site’s users in order to increase revenue, according to the New York Times.

And the American newspaper stated that the company began discussing the idea of conducting an online auction to sell pseudonyms or nicknames for “Twitter” users, which represents a step that can help Twitter achieve more revenue because some users can obtain certain names used by others through the site.

And she indicated that it is not known whether Twitter will move forward with the idea, nor did she say that it will include all or some of the pseudonyms for network users.

And several sites indicated earlier that rumors of selling pseudonyms for Twitter accounts began last December.

It is worth noting that the “Telegram” network took that step last October, as it sold some pseudonyms for some accounts for money, and the most expensive was the “@news” pseudonym, which was sold for $ 1.8 million.
