Twitter freezes accounts of journalists who criticized Musk

Twitter temporarily suspended the accounts of about half a dozen prominent journalists. The new move comes after government agencies froze the accounts of billionaires, including Musk, and other high-profile figures that tracked their flight information.

On Thursday, Twitter temporarily suspended the accounts of reporters from media outlets including the Washington Post, New York Times, Mashable, CNN and Substack. They constantly gave news against Musk. The account of progressive independent journalist Aaron Rooper has also been banned.

The platform did not elaborate on the reason behind the suspensions. They received a message that their accounts were being suspended for violating Twitter rules. Neither Moscow nor Twitter have yet commented on the issue.
