Twinning agreement between Tan-Tan and the Italian town of Latiano

A twinning agreement was signed on Sunday between Tan-Tan and the Italian city of Latiano, with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations of cooperation in the economic, cultural and tourist fields.

As part of the decentralized cooperation between Morocco and Italy, this agreement was initialed by the mayors of Tan-Tan, Habib Louamane, and Latiano, Cosimo Mairano, in the presence of representatives of local authorities and Civil society.

According to the two parties, this agreement opens up promising prospects for the consolidation of partnership links in the various sectors, in particular tourism, the environment, culture, sport and associative action, given the notorious growth that know the southern provinces of the Kingdom.

The Mayor of Latiano expressed, on this occasion, the will of his city to strengthen commercial relations with Tan-Tan, noting that the Italian municipality will ensure the strengthening of communication between the young people of the two cities, through partnerships and exchange programs.

For his part, the mayor of Tan-Tan expressed his desire to establish ”lasting and mutually beneficial relations in all sectors of common interest” with the Italian city.

“Our commune is aware of the impact that such a dynamic of cooperation and partnership between the two parties might have and is committed with all its potential and assets to working for the success of this partnership,” said Louamane. , highlighting the progress made by the city of Tan-Tan and its “promising” economic potential.

During the signing ceremony, the Consul of Morocco in Naples, Abdelkader Naji, underlined, for his part, that this twinning represents “a singular model of solidarity and mutual respect and reflects the firm will of Morocco and Italy to establish decentralized cooperation as a strategic choice”.
