West Indies beat Zimbabwe by 31 runs to keep their chances of T20 Cricket World Cup Super 12. The victory of the Windies is due to the excellence of the pacers. Alzari Joseph became the star of the game by taking four wickets and conceding 16 runs in four overs. Jason Holder has three wickets.

Batting first, Windies might not get a good score. Opener Johnson Charles was the top scorer with 45 runs. Rowman Powell scored 28 runs. Sikandar Raza took three wickets for Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe never managed to bowl to victory. With the Windies bowlers lining up, they ended on 122 runs. Luke Jong V scored 29 runs.

Ireland also kept their Super 12 hopes alive by beating Scotland by six wickets. Kurtis Kampfer scored 72 runs off 32 balls and George Dockrell scored 39 runs off 27 balls to lead to victory. The breakthrough performance of this partnership came following losing four wickets for 61 runs in the tenth over. 119 runs were found for the fifth wicket.

Opener Michael Jones scored 86 runs for Scotland. In Group B, four teams have two points each. Tomorrow’s winners will advance to Super 12. Windies will face Ireland and Scotland will face Zimbabwe.

Super 12 representatives from Group A are known today. Sri Lanka will face the Netherlands and Namibia will face the UAE. UAE was eliminated following losing both the games. Netherlands are third with four points following winning two games. Both Lanka and Namibia have two points.
The Super 12 matches will start on 22nd with 12 teams including India. Eight teams had qualified earlier on the basis of best rank.
