The formula of the cyclical magazine will differ from traditional news programs. Every week, three journalists from TVP Info and the programs “19:30”, “Panorama”, “Kwiatki polskie”, “Teleexpress” and “Pytanie na Śniadanie” will comment live on current events according to the viewers’ prior indications. The premiere edition will be shown on November 9 at 9:30.
The name of the program refers to the editorial board, i.e. a cyclical meeting of journalists who decide which topics are the most interesting and will be broadcast.
New TVP Info program
The day before the broadcast of “College”, its authors will publish a poll on the TVP Info profile on the X platform on Friday. Each Internet user will be able to indicate an event that, in their opinion, should be the main topic of the program.

The participants of Saturday’s “College” will be journalists of Polish Television programs: “19:30”, “Panorama”, “Polish Flowers”“Pytania na Śniadanie” and the TVP Info team. At the beginning of the program, they will present the results of an online poll from the previous day, and then in the newsroom of the new TVP info studio they will talk about topics that are on the viewers’ minds.. They will share gossip from the Sejm lobby, controversies and interesting facts from Poland and around the world. The summary of hot topics will be enriched by a street poll, and the editorial discussion will be complemented by statements and comments of the heroes of a given news story and their entries in social media.
In the second part of the program, “College” participants will take part in the “News Game”. Their task will be to guess, based on distorted or cut off statements, what exactly the politicians said. During the game, QR codes to related articles on the TVP.info website will be displayed on viewers’ screens.

Welcome to the Future of News: Introducing ‘College’ on TVP Info!
Well, well, well! Grab your proverbial pens and paper, folks, because TVP Info is rolling out something that sounds more like a university course than a traditional news show. Buckle up as we dive into the wacky, interactive world of ‘College,’ a new program set to beach a little life into your otherwise mundane news consumption on November 9 at 9:30 PM. And might I add—mark your calendars, unless you have a cocktail party with no Wi-Fi, in which case, who are you?!
The Cleverly Crafted Concept
Imagine a world where you, yes you, get to decide what the journalists yak about! That’s right! Every week, the fine folks in front of the cameras—those brave souls from shows like “19:30” and “Panorama”—are relinquishing their traditional editorial control. They’ll be sitting there live, ready to reflect on the pressing topics of our times, as voted by none other than you, the viewing public! It’s like a news democracy, and who doesn’t love a bit of electoral excitement, especially when no ballots are involved? Just hashtags and retweets—good luck feeling like a voter!
The ‘Academic’ Approach to Hot Topics
Now, on the eve of the premiere, the TVP Info team will dangle a poll on their profile like a carrot in front of a hungry horse. Any event that tickles your fancy can be ‘submitted for consideration.’ Think of it as ‘America’s Got Talent’ but for news topics. Once the votes are in, the journalists will gather to discuss what we, the cultured audience, deem worth our precious time. You can expect everything from juicy gossip to stark controversies, and if we’re lucky, some insights from Poland and beyond!
But Wait, There’s More!
The second part of the program will make your inner game show fanatic squeal with delight! Journalists will engage in a raucous guessing game about politicians’ statements. Think you know what the latest buzz was? Guess what—you’ll be tested while looking at QR codes that’ll whisk you away to articles on the TVP.info website! It’s like a combination of news and a scavenger hunt—who needs social life when you have ‘College’?
The Brains Behind ‘College’
The masterminds steering this shiny new ship are Mateusz Szczerba and Michał Duszak. And if the names don’t ring a bell, it could be because they’re as confusing as a plot twist in a rom-com movie. Mateusz comes with television credentials that include ultra-fast editing for journalism, while Michał’s resume reads like a love letter to TVN24, where he spent an astonishing 18 years. So yeah, *definitely* experts in making the news less dull!
What Does This Mean for Viewership?
The storyline thickens! According to Nielsen, October 2024 wasn’t exactly a blockbuster month for TVP Info, with viewership numbers resembling the kind of scores you’d get at a very amateur game of darts—*cough* a mere 75,014 average viewers. Will ‘College’ manage to bring those numbers up, or are we simply giving people more reason to change the channel to reality TV? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure—like a good cup of coffee, we surely need some excitement injected into our news!
In Conclusion: Tune In or Tune Out?
So, will you tune in to ‘College’ on TVP Info and cast your digital ballot for topics that tickle your fancy? Or will you roll your eyes and silently judge from the comfort of your sofa? It seems that the lines between viewer and journalist are blurring, leading to a delightful mash-up of entertainment and news commentary that even a cat video can’t overshadow. As they say, you can’t ignore progress—even if it’s dressed in goofy game show glamour!
Get ready to vote your opinion into existence, and prepare for some jaw-dropping, potentially eyebrow-raising discussions—this isn’t your grandma’s news program!
Interview with the Creators of ‘College’ on TVP Info
**Interviewer:** Welcome, everyone! Today, we’re diving into an exciting new venture in the world of news programming with the creative minds behind ‘College.’ Joining us are Mateusz Szczerba and Michał Duszak, the publishers of this innovative show. Thanks for being with us!
**Mateusz Szczerba:** Thanks for having us! We’re thrilled to talk about ‘College’ and what it brings to the table.
**Michał Duszak:** Absolutely! It’s an exciting time for news, and we believe ‘College’ will certainly shake things up.
**Interviewer:** Let’s get right into it. What inspired the concept of ‘College,’ which seems to blend news with viewer interaction?
**Mateusz Szczerba:** The idea behind ‘College’ was to create a dynamic platform where the audience can feel more involved in the news process. We wanted viewers to have a say in what topics are covered each week. It’s about democratizing news consumption, making it more engaging and, frankly, more fun!
**Michał Duszak:** Exactly! We’re allowing viewers to vote on topics they care about. It’s like having a front-row seat to the news while contributing to the discussions that matter most to them. We’re pulling the curtain back on the editorial process.
**Interviewer:** And how will the viewer participation work specifically?
**Michał Duszak:** Before each show, we’ll post a poll on our X platform, inviting users to suggest events that they think should be highlighted. Once we gather the votes, the journalists will discuss those topics live on air. It’s a way to tailor the show to current viewer interests and concerns.
**Interviewer:** That sounds like a fresh take! What can viewers expect from the format of the show itself?
**Mateusz Szczerba:** The show will start with a summary of the poll results, then dive into those topics. We’ll be discussing not only news items but also behind-the-scenes gossip, controversies, and unique insights from our journalists. We want to keep it lively and relatable.
**Michał Duszak:** Plus, a second segment called the “News Game” will add a competitive twist, where our journalists will guess what politicians really said based on partial quotes. A little bit of fun mixed with important information!
**Interviewer:** It sounds engaging! What do you think sets ‘College’ apart from other news programs in Poland?
**Mateusz Szczerba:** The interactive element is a big differentiator. It’s not just about broadcasting what we think is important; it’s about what the audience believes deserves attention. We aim for a collaborative news experience.
**Interviewer:** As you prepare for the premiere, what are some of the potential challenges you foresee?
**Michał Duszak:** One challenge might be ensuring a continuous flow of participation. We hope that viewers see the value in their contributions and make it a routine to engage with us. Also, balancing viewer preferences with journalistic integrity is key—we want to report responsibly.
**Interviewer:** Great point! what are you excited about most for the launch of ‘College’ on November 9?
**Mateusz Szczerba:** I’m excited to see how the audience engages. The first show is pivotal—it’ll set the tone for what’s to come. I can’t wait to hear the conversations that unfold!
**Michał Duszak:** Yes! And our talented team of journalists is eager to explore these topics. I think we’re going to learn a lot from our viewers!
**Interviewer:** Thank you both for joining me today! ‘College’ sounds like an exciting new chapter in news programming, and I’m sure viewers will be eager to tune in on November 9 at 9:30 PM.
**Mateusz Szczerba:** Thank you! We hope everyone enjoys the show!
