The resource Enhance Dialogue will soon be available on all models HomePods released by Apple. The information comes from Sigmund Judge (@sigjudge), who posted on his profile on X (formerly Twitter) regarding this new feature, which first arrived on Apple TV 4K models with tvOS 17.
For those who don’t know, the functionality exists so that dialogues become clearer in series, films and videos when the speaker is connected to your devices. In other words, the function can separate conversations from the sound effects and music playing in the background.
Apple TV Enhance Dialogue is an exclusive feature when paired with HomePod (2nd Generation), but HomePod (2018) and HomePod mini owners may be in luck when tvOS 17.1 releases to the public.

The expansion of the feature to HomePod appears to have arrived with the beta version of tvOs 17.1. Even so, it appears that it is still restricted to users of Apple TV 4K models. However, it is good news to see that even HomePods will be able to enjoy this feature.
With the new option activated, any app that uses the tvOS system’s native video player will be able to make use of it. To enable, all the user needs to do is go to the sound menu located above the content playback progress bar.
It’s worth remembering that there is a possibility that this is just a bug, so we can only wait for news related to this new feature. Recently, Apple released the second beta of tvOS 17.1 to developers and the public registered in Apple’s beta program.
Still on the subject of HomePods, a journalist said this week that Spotify might add the device to its compatibility list.
