Two years ago, Gil Ofarim (41) published a video in which he claimed that the Westin Hotel in Leipzig had rejected him because of a Star of David necklace. That was a lie, as he recently admitted in court. Now various TV stations are distancing themselves from him. Before the trial, he was often a guest there: He took part in “Let’s Dance”, he won once morest Pietro Lombardi (31) in the show “Schlag den Star” and he came second in “The Masked Singer”. Last year, Ofarim also played a disciple in an RTL program that dealt with Jesus’ suffering. This is likely to be the last appearance on a private broadcaster for the time being. “There are currently no plans with Gil Ofarim in the entertainment sector,” a spokesman told “Bild”.
There were previously rumors that Gil Ofarim might be seen in the next edition of “Jungle Camp”. But RTL II is not currently planning any formats with the singer either. The German newspaper also asked whether Gil Ofarim will soon be seen on Prosieben or Sat. 1. The company replied: “As a general rule, we do not discuss collaborations with an artist publicly.” However, it would be a surprise if the singer were given a platform on the TV giant. Two weeks ago, his manager confirmed that the broadcasters had already distanced themselves from Gil Ofarim during the trial. At the same time, the music business collapsed.

The musician deleted his Instagram profile just hours following apologizing in court. His management has not yet responded to 20 minutes of inquiries.
