TV program. “Four Weddings for a Honeymoon” back, with surprises

Did you miss the ball of the hypocrites with facade smiles? You’re in luck: from Monday at 5 p.m. (1), “Four weddings for a honeymoon” is making a comeback, with a major change: the program is leaving TF1 for TFX.

Strangers as guests

The concept, on the other hand, remains unchanged: each week, four future brides who do not know each other put the organization and the course of their marriage in competition through five themes: the meal, the decoration of the place of the reception, the atmosphere, the prom opening and the dress. Each time, the contestants of the candidate of the day participate in the wedding with more or less conviction – some do not want to dance, others find the food disgusting, etc. – and assign notes that are not necessarily benevolent. From the studio where she views the images, the ”wedding planner” Élodie Villemus also gives marks to each one, which count for half in the final mark.

On Friday, the notes and especially the murderous reviews are revealed to the four couples through sequences shot during “the best day of their lives”. Then the brides find themselves alone with each other, awaiting the final verdict, a situation conducive to a proper backcombing. Whoever gets the highest average wins the honeymoon.

Élodie Villemus will set the track on fire

This year, from the second week of broadcast (2), a special event will come to upset this well-established mechanism: Élodie Villemus will go to a wedding for the first time in the entire history of the show. Invited to the ceremony and then to the evening of a bride judge, she will be closer to the festivities and will live the experience from the inside. She will even take the opportunity to set the dance floor on fire!

More than ever, the bride of the day will be keen to satisfy her guests, all the more so with the presence of a specialist in the sector, without however preventing some from having a hard tooth. Fortunately, viewers will also be able to count on funny and touching moments… Not to mention the comments of Internet users on social networks, via the hashtag #4mplm, which will make them happy. And long live the bride and groom!

(1) “4 Weddings for a Honeymoon”, Monday to Friday from Monday January 24 at 5 p.m. (with the rebroadcast of the previous day’s episode from Tuesday, 4 p.m.) on TFX.

(2) Special week with Élodie Villemus to discover from Monday January 31 at 5 p.m., on TFX.
