The ORF confirmed this to the “Salzburger Nachrichten”. Most recently, he stepped in for the afternoon news programs “Aktuell nach eins” and “Aktuell nach fünf”. After his much-discussed, audibly impaired appearance as “ZiB Flash” presenter in 2021, he has been working there again as editor-in-chief since the beginning of September 2022 and has recently also given major interviews.
The public broadcaster did not want to comment on whether Rafreider would soon be working as a regular presenter again. Rafreider had to take a six-month break after his legendary “ZiB Flash” presentation. The now 54-year-old explained the presentation internally at ORF with personal reasons that were the deciding factor.
