Tuxedo Computers Company announced unusual gaming laptop Sirius 16 Gen2. Its feature is the Tuxedo Linux operating system, which uses the KDE Plasma desktop environment.

The laptop runs on an AMD Hawk Point Ryzen 7 8845HS processor. Also used is a discrete video card Radeon RX 7600M XT, which received 8 GB of video memory. Gamers can install up to 96 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM. The laptop also supports two NVMe drives (M.2 2280, PCIe 4.0 x4), their total capacity can reach 8 TB.

The laptop weighs 2.3 kg and has a 16.1-inch screen. Its resolution is 2560×1440 pixels. The refresh rate is 165 Hz, and the peak brightness is only 300 nits. An 80 Wh battery is installed that supports fast charging via USB-C. The battery capacity is enough for six hours of use. There are many ports used to connect devices: two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 and two USB-C, HDMI 2.1, Ethernet, headphone and microphone jacks. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 are supported. The sound is produced by four speakers, and there is also a built-in microphone.

The cheapest version of Tuxedo Sirius 16 Gen2 with 16 GB of RAM and a 500 GB drive will cost approximately $1,770 (165,200 rubles). In the maximum configuration with 96 GB of RAM and 8 TB of memory, the cost increases to almost $3,000 (280,000 rubles). Pre-orders are now available and items will begin shipping at the end of May.
