Turnover in the construction industry has risen in recent months | Economy

Turnover from the construction industry was almost 8 percent higher in April, May and June than one year previously, Statistics Netherlands reports.

In the second quarter of 2023, construction turnover increased by 7.7 percent. Small construction companies in particular did well.

Construction companies with fewer than 10 employees have an average turnover increase of 9.3 percent, while larger companies with 10 to 100 employees have only increased their turnover by 1.6 percent.

Although turnover increased, more construction companies went bankrupt in the second quarter of 2023. 106 construction companies went bankrupt, compared to 76 a year earlier.
