This achievement marks a significant milestone not only for Türkiye’s space program but also for its technological capabilities. “Every locally produced part of Türksat 6A has gained space experience, paving the way for export opportunities. Countries that manufacture communication satellites will now be able to procure these components from Türkiye,” Uraloğlu said. The launch of Türksat 6A will significantly expand Türkiye’s satellite coverage. Türksat currently operates five communication satellites covering orbits at 31, 42, and 50 degrees east, reaching a global population of 3.5 billion. Türksat 6A will extend coverage to new regions, including Southeast Asia, with a specific focus on countries like India, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. “the satellite will increase the population covered by Türksat from 3.5 billion to over 5 billion, allowing Türkiye to reach more than 65% of the global population,” Uraloğlu said. **Minister Uraloğlu:** Absolutely. Launched on July 9th from SpaceX’s Cape Canaveral,Türksat 6A initially reached its temporary orbit at 50 degrees east. Following a series of prosperous payload tests, the satellite underwent a final adjustment on December 27th, positioning it at its designated
