Turkish journalist surprised by earthquake “got trapped” live

a journalist from Demirören News Agency (DHA, Demirören News Agency) was broadcasting live citizen aid following the earthquake in Turkey that left more than 3,000 dead when was the victim of a second tremor of lesser magnitude.

The journalist, despite the fact, continued his work: “We can see two buildings that collapsed right now. the earthquake continues”, he detailed. And he added: “Citizens who tried to save others are being affected by the earthquake.”

From the news agency’s Twitter account, they referred to the episode in question. “Our reporter was trapped in the second earthquake which occurred in Kahramanmarash while reporting on the latest developments,” they wrote.

The first earthquake occurred in the early hours of Monday claimed the lives of 3,055 people and left more than 15,000 injured. The second earthquake, in which the journalist was involved, occurred at 10:24 local time, with an epicenter in Elbistan, in the Kahramanmaras province. In this case, the magnitude was three tenths less (7.5° on the Richter scale). Before the tremor, survivors were approaching the area to collect belongings that might help them spend the night.
