In implementation of the grain agreement signed in Istanbul between Russia and Ukraine, Turkey announces the departure of two new ships from Ukrainian ports towards Turkey.
The Turkish Defense Ministry said on Saturday that two other ships carrying grain shipments have left the Ukrainian port of Chornomorsk, bringing the total number of ships that left Ukraine’s Black Sea ports under a United Nations-brokered grain export agreement to 27.
The Joint Coordination Center, which was set up to secure the passage, said in a statement that the ships “Zumrut Anna” and “MV Ocean S”, which were authorized to leave on August 20, were carrying 6,300 tons of sunflower oil and 25,000 tons of olive oil. wheat, respectively.
Today, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority reported that 3 ports began loading food shipments on board seven ships to deliver 66,500 tons of wheat, corn and sunflower oil to consumers.
