Turkish company refuses to supply electricity to Israeli army after heavy criticism – World

Zorlo Group, owned by people believed to be close to Turkish President Erdogan, has announced it will withdraw from a contract to supply electricity to Israeli military bases. The electricity is supplied under a contract between the Israeli Ministry of Defense and Dorad Energy. Durad Group is partly owned by Turkey’s Zorlu Group.

The corporation has announced that it plans to liquidate its holdings in the power plant and all holdings in Israel.

The investors concerned were under fire after it was revealed that the Turkish-owned company was involved in a setup that supplies electricity to Israeli military bases.

The leading Turkish newspaper Edelink published a front page story in this regard. BDS activists strongly protested this.

Two days ago, several demonstrations took place near the house of Turkish businessman Ahmed Nazif Zorlu. Protests have also been held at the company’s office.

Turkey’s Zorlu Group owns textile factories, home appliance manufacturing plants, energy firms, infrastructure, real estate, financial services and large shopping centers.

In this regard, the article published in the Israeli newspaper The Jerusalem Post was read by more than one million people on X and many criticized it.

One person said in his comment that the dirty business of Turkish businesses and the terrorist organization Israel continues shamelessly. All this will be written in dark letters in history. Anyone who benefits Zionist Israel is not one of us. May Allah curse them.

Another social media user commented that Zorlo Holdings should be boycotted in the same way that Israeli goods are boycotted.
