The suspects, arrested in several provinces of the country, are suspected of having spied on foreign nationals residing in Turkey on behalf of the Israeli secret services, said the official Anadolu news agency.
Thirteen other suspects, accused of the same acts, are currently wanted, added Anadolu and the private news agency DHA.
The nationalities of the accused were not specified.
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya claimed on the social network“assault” or pick up” of some of the foreigners spied on.
Since the start of the conflict between Israel and Hamas in early October, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a traditional ally of the Palestinian cause, has increased his invectives against Israel.
Mr. Erdogan notably estimated on Wednesday that there was no “no difference” between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Adolf Hitler.
