Turkish Airlines, which is currently the airline that serves the largest number of countries in the worldalready operates a fleet of 14 A350-900s.

Remember that all these aircraft pass through the only final assembly line dedicated to this type of device, in Toulouse.

The planets align for Airbus and its jumbo jet

As the planets align and the order book has been strong for months for the world’s leading aircraft manufacturer, Christian Scherer, Airbus Chief Commercial Officer and Group International Director, said he was “delighted that Turkish Airlines has decided to further expand its fleet with the purchase of 10 additional A350-900 aircraft. We are proud to continue expanding our long-term partnership with Turkish Airlines and the Turkish aviation industry as a whole,” he said.

More than 1,000 A350s on order at the end of July

At the end of July, the A350 had won more than 1,000 orders with major carriers around the world. Presented as “the most modern and efficient jumbo jet in the world”, the A350 is the undisputed long-haul leader in the 300 to 410-seat category.

According to Airbus, its A350-900 version makes it possible to “reduce CO2 emissions by 25%” compared to previous generation aircraft, and its sound footprint is also “reduced by 50%”.
