Al-Marsad Newspaper: Official media reported that Turkish prosecutors opened an investigation, Friday, following hanging a puppet of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Stockholm, while Sweden commented on this incident, which is likely to increase diplomatic obstacles to Sweden’s endeavor to obtain Turkey’s approval to join NATO. And a doll of Erdogan appeared hanging from its feet outside the Stockholm municipality headquarters and a few people standing next to it in footage that was first published on Twitter by what calls itself the “Swedish Solidarity Committee for Rojava,” referring to the Kurdish regions in Syria.

Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Christerson told TV4 on Friday that this act was “very dangerous” and considered sabotaging his country’s bid to join NATO. Police said they were not aware of the incident until it was over, according to the Associated Press.
