The AP news agency quoted a Turkish official as saying that a father and son were trapped under the rubble of a building.
According to the Turkish Disaster Management Authority, the earthquake that occurred on February 27 had its epicenter in the town of Yesilyurt, Malatya province. No casualties have been reported yet.

Yesilyurt Mayor Mehmet Cinar told HaberTurk television that several buildings in the town had collapsed, including the four-story building where the father and son were trapped. The official said the father and son went into the damaged building to collect their belongings.
Elsewhere in Malatya, search and rescue crews were sifting through the rubble of another collapsed building following the wreckage crushed several parked cars.
Malatya is one of 11 provinces in Turkey that was devastated by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake on February 6.
That quake killed more than 50,000 people in Turkey and Syria and caused at least 173,000 buildings in Turkey to collapse or severely damage.
AFAD, Turkey’s disaster management agency, said nearly 10,000 followingshocks had hit the quake-affected area since February 6.
