Almost a month following the severe earthquake that killed thousands of people in Turkey and Syria, financial aid to meet the needs of people in these areas is still not available, Save the Children International said in a press release. 43 non-governmental service organizations working in the country demanded that the situation in Syria is not good and that aid to the Syrian people should not be politicized.
A month following the devastating earthquakes in southern Turkey and Syria, people are still in urgent need of aid. Save the Children said that the people of both countries are still suffering due to this powerful earthquake and that international assistance is needed.
As a result of the February 6 earthquake, nearly 90 lakh people are suffering from various forms of hardship. At the same time, the ongoing conflicts and humanitarian emergency in Syria for more than ten years are making the life of ordinary people miserable. About one and a half million people are in need of humanitarian aid in Syria alone.
