**Interview with⁤ Zulfiqar‌ Qadir, Member of the Pakistan Snooker‌ Team**

**Interviewer:** Zulfiqar,‍ you are⁤ part of ⁣the team heading⁤ to the ⁢World Snooker Championship in ⁤Turkey. How do you feel about representing Pakistan at such a prestigious event?

**Zulfiqar Qadir:** It’s an incredible honor to represent my country on an international stage. We’ve trained hard for this moment, and I’m looking forward to competing with the best ⁤in the world.

**Interviewer:** Given the recent situation⁣ where ⁢Pakistan’s snooker team was‌ barred from competing in the Under-17 and Under-21 Championships in India, how does this impact the morale of ⁤players like ‌yourself heading⁣ into this championship?

**Zulfiqar Qadir:** It’s certainly a disappointment,⁤ but we need to stay focused.‌ Competing ⁤in Turkey is a great‌ opportunity for us to ⁣showcase our talent and resilience. We ‌can’t ⁤let one setback ⁢diminish our passion for the sport.

**Interviewer:** Financial constraints also seem to be⁤ a challenge, with only two players sponsored by the Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association. Do you think the government should invest more in sports to avoid‍ such issues in the future?

**Zulfiqar Qadir:** Absolutely. Increased government funding can make a significant ⁤difference in how athletes prepare and compete on⁤ international⁤ stages. It’s ⁣crucial ⁢to ‌nurture‍ talent and provide support, so we can truly represent Pakistan with pride.

**Interviewer:** What message do you have for ‌the fans back home as you head into this competition?

**Zulfiqar Qadir:** We appreciate their ⁢support immensely. We will do our ⁤best to make them proud and bring home success.

**Discussion ‌Point for Readers:**⁢ In light of the government’s lack of funding and support for snooker and other sports in Pakistan, what ‍do you think should ⁣be done to improve⁢ the situation? Should there be a ⁤greater emphasis on fostering talent in sports, or are there more‌ pressing priorities for the government to‍ address?
