Turchak scolded Volodin for “truant deputies” in Donbass: “Pants don’t sit out”

Secretary of the General Council of “United Russia” Andrey Turchak commented on the claims once morest the deputies of United Russia, who often travel to the Donbass. In particular, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin proposed “to eliminate the excessive zeal of individual deputies to engage in unusual activities.” The media reported that the speaker named the names of three heads of committees who missed several meetings in the Duma due to such business trips. Volodin also noted that ensuring the protection of deputies in the Donbass “is worth as much as the entire special operation.” He cited United Russia members Adam Delimkhanov, Viktor Vodolatsky and Dmitry Sablin as an example.

Turchak answered to claims once morest members of the same party, saying that the deputies of the United Russia “will continue this work” as long as “it will be necessary for the residents” of the DPR and LPR, as well as “Kherson region, Zaporozhye and other liberated territories.”

He noted that statements regarding “the protection of these guys … cannot but raise questions for us,” since, as he believes, protection is not required, as well as volunteers in the Donbass.

In conclusion, Turchak expressed the opinion that one should not pay attention to “the statements of a number of officials who are completely out of touch with reality.”

In his opinion, only those who were there “and passed it all through themselves” have the right to comment on the work of deputies in the Donbass.

“And I didn’t sit out my pants in comfortable chairs,” Turchak concluded.
