On Monday, Tunisian Anas Jaber lost the world ranking of professional tennis players, following she was eliminated from the early rounds of the Australian Open this month, dropping to third place. Anas was the first Arab to win the title of one of the thousand tournaments in Madrid in May 2022, before her two achievements in qualifying for the Wimbledon final in July and the Flushing Meadows final in September of the same year.
After her early exit at the Australian Open this month, the Tunisian fell behind Anas Jaber Monday to third place in the world rankings of professional tennis players.
The career of Anas, who is known as the “Minister of Happiness” in Tunisia, stopped at the second round of the Australian Open following losing to Marketa Vondrousova.
The Tunisian player had reached the semi-finals of the Adelaide Championship, which is being held in preparation for the Australian Open, before losing to Linda Noskova.
Polish Iga Chiantik maintained the top of the women’s classification, while Arina Sabalenka advanced 3 places and became second following winning the title in Melbourne Park last Saturday.
