The activity indicators of the airline Tunisair show a clear growth in the load factor which reached 74.5% in 2022, an increase of 8.3 points (66.2%) compared to the 2021 financial year. .
The company underlined, in a press release published on Friday, that it managed to achieve encouraging indicators and positive results despite the difficulties thanks to the measures adopted.
TUNISAIR recalled, in this context, that it has already received four new A320neo type aircraft respectively, in December 2021 and February, October and December 2022 to strengthen its fleet, adding that a fifth delivery should be made in 2023.
The number of passengers transported by the national company Tunisair reached 2,171,341, once morest 1,097,676, in 2022, representing a growth of 97.8% (1,073,665), compared to 2021 and 117.7% compared to to 2020 (1,174,097).
European countries with a passenger traffic share of 71.2% recorded 1,552,296 passengers, North America (Montreal) 41,947 passengers, Maghreb and African countries 359,496 passengers and Middle Eastern countries 217,602 passengers (10%), due to the growth of the Saudi and Egyptian markets and the continued development of the Turkish market.
In December 2022, the load factor reached 74.8%, compared to 70.5 in December 2021.
The number of passengers transported by the company reached 174,630 compared to 138,909 in December 2021, an increase of 25.7%.
