For the third time at the end of August, the concert evening “The sound of the gods meets the Danube gold” will take place on the Tulln Danube stage. Organizers Schager and Baich were able to win over the American star baritone and Grammy winner Thomas Hampson for the evening.

On the last day of August 2023, following 2021 and 2022, the classical night “Götterklang meets Donaugold” will be performed for the third time on the Tulln Danube stage. In addition to tenor Andreas Schager and violinist Lidia Baich, American baritone and Grammy winner Thomas Hampson will be on stage next summer.

“I’m really looking forward to Thomas Hampson, probably one of the world’s best baritones,” said Schager. The origin of the guest will also affect the program: Great American opera classics will meet German romanticism in 2023, Schager announced. “The anticipation mightn’t be greater to be able to create an exciting program together with my friends Lidia Baich and Andreas Schager on the unique backdrop of the Donaubühne in Tulln,” emphasized Thomas Hampson in advance.
