TTP is the largest terrorist group in Afghanistan, they have close ties with Taliban, UN report – Pakistan

According to a United Nations monitoring report, the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is now the largest terrorist group in Afghanistan, receiving operational and logistical support from the Afghan Taliban and factions of the Al-Qaeda terrorist network.

The 15th report of the Security Council’s monitoring team submitted to the United Nations states that “Taliban does not consider TTP as a terrorist group.

With 6,500 militants in the TPP, the report notes, the TTP is now the largest of the two dozen or so groups that roam freely under the supervision of the Taliban government. .

It should be noted that this confirms Islamabad’s position that Kabul is not ready to take action once morest terrorist groups facing Pakistan, which has been repeatedly reiterated by officials such as Defense Minister Khawaja Asif and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

Pakistan rejected Kabul government’s suggestion to negotiate with terrorist groups

The report noted that the TTP “continues to operate extensively in Afghanistan and from there carries out terrorist activities in Pakistan, often using Afghans for this purpose”.

It should be noted that yesterday, Pakistan had rejected the advice of the Kabul government to negotiate with the terrorist groups. The spokesperson of the Foreign Office had said that Pakistan is not negotiating with TTP or other terrorist groups.

Acknowledging yesterday that the activities of a banned militant outfit inside Pakistan are forcing the international community to point the finger at Afghanistan, a senior Afghan Taliban leader on Wednesday called on the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). And urged Islamabad to sit together and negotiate for peace.
