For the first season of its history, the TrashTalk Fantasy League awards his player of the month trophy. The opportunity to highlight a member of the community. For this great first, we were able to exchange with PokPuf who therefore put his name on the list of the TTFL Player of the Month.
Hi PokPuf. Congratulations, you are the TTFL Player of the Month for November, with the icing on the cake, first place overall as well. Your first impressions?

I am very happy to be at the top of this ranking! A first for me. It’s weird to get up one morning, check your pick and see “1” overall and “1” for the current month. It clearly makes you have a good day… Nobody knows why in your entourage or on the job, but when you say “I’m world number one”, you have a melon that grows quickly!
Can you introduce yourself a bit? How long have you been playing? What is your record in previous seasons?
My name is Maxime, I’m 30 years old, I’m a liberal nurse and I live in Mireval, a small village south of Montpellier, a fervent supporter of the Wizards (it’s not a joke… and then, we have the best CM French on Twitter). I’ve been playing since 2017 but I was already following the NBA before.
The first seasons were clearly miserable, I don’t think I ever finished top 1000. It’s since last year that I really started to perform, I was top 30 for a while during the season, then a no pick derailed me and I gave up a bit.
I see that you also play as a team, La Malène which also turns out quite well, can you tell us a bit regarding yourself?
La Malène goes beyond a simple TTFL team. We set up the team with my best friends, Sylvain (Rudygobetout), Mika (Guildartz) and Clément (OuiMrCarragher). La Malène is a small village in Lozère where we like to meet to spend relaxing holidays watching matches while eating a good rib of beef with a good red.
All day it’s debriefing, debate on the picks and chambering (especially since I’m in front) on our Messenger conversation with my nine teammates.
With this performance, are you aiming for the title at the end of the season?
Of course we will try! But there are still so many matches left, we are not immune to eating a good carrot soup! It’s really tight at the top of the leaderboard…
And from a collective point of view, what is the objective of your team?
We want to hang on to Ligue 1, something we have never done. Our best result remains the Finals in Ligue 3 once morest the Mamba Crew, we still haven’t digested it. And then, you (the TrashTalk team) you stick to our buttocks… We don’t really like it!
To achieve such a month, what are the good moves you have made? you bet on Joel Embiid during his 104 for example ?
I didn’t have Embiid on the day of his 104! I landed a few big shots like Garland at 70, AD at 83, and to end the month on a high, Tatum at 83 as well. I managed to get 9 picks above 60…
Did you still take a few carrots or is it really a dream month with only good choices?
No, frankly, I didn’t take any carrots, I only scored 3 below 30, including a Butler at 25, but that saved me 2,500 places overnight! With an average of 48 over the month… It’s incredible!
A word or some advice for your opponents?
People talk to me regarding modjo, karma, etc. Get it into your head that it doesn’t exist huh…
There’s a marregarding who became famous there lately, always try!
