TSV Weddelbrook in third place in the Stars of Sport competition

Pinneberg/Weddelbrook. Another success for TSV Weddelbrook in the “Stars of Sports” competition of the VR Bank in Holstein: After second place two years ago, the 1000-member club took third place in this year’s round and received 1000 euros for the club’s coffers.
The club receives the sum for its program “We make children strong”. The TSVW’s commitment includes in particular offers for children who cannot cope with classic team sports or who cannot meet the performance requirements of a sport. The focus is on the children’s individual interests and abilities, not on competition or winning. The club integrates activities and offers that are in high demand into its regular program, thus creating sustainable opportunities for children and young people to participate.
“All of the applications we have received show the variety of projects and initiatives in the clubs that have an impact on our society,” said Stefan Witt, CEO of VR Bank in Holstein, in his welcoming speech at the start of the event in the bank’s event center in Pinneberg. “Every year we are impressed by everything that is achieved through volunteers in our region in the field of sport alone.”
