TSJ validates CNE results that give victory to Nicolás Maduro

The president of the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ)Caryslia Rodríguez announced that after the process of appraising the voting material on July 28, the agency determined that the election was won by President Nicolás Maduro.

The ruling states that according to the expert report, which it said met “the highest technical and legal standards,” it was found that the voting records issued by the voting machines fully matched the records in the database of the counting centers, which led to the electoral contentious appeal filed by Maduro being declared admissible.

Asks the Prosecutor’s Office to continue investigation

The main and alternate rectors of the electoral body attended the reading of the sentence, headed by its president Elvis Amoroso with the exception of the main rector, Juan Carlos Delpino, who has been absent from the public eye since July 28. Rodríguez did not omit the absence of the rector linked to the opposition in the entire process of alleged verification of the TSJ and warned that he did not justify not having gone to the highest court, when he was called.

The Electoral Chamber indicated that all electoral material submitted by the CNE and by 33 political organizations, with the exception of the organizations of the Democratic Unitary Platform (UNT, MPV and MUD) and the Centrados and Alianza del Lápiz parties, will remain under the protection of the highest court.
