Judge Caryslia Beatriz Rodríguez, president of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), announced that she has begun the process of appraising the electoral records, which will take up to 15 days and may be extended.
On Monday, the president of the CNE, Elvis Amoroso, submitted to the TSJ the documents requested last week to clarify the controversy over the results of the presidential elections.
The TSJ Magistrate stressed that for this expert opinion “all mechanisms available in our legal system will be used.”
Likewise, “for the proper recording of all electoral instruments that are in the possession of all political parties and candidates, they are summoned in tuitu persona, in which act they must record the required information and answer the questions that this jurisdictional body asks them in relation to this case,” said the Magistrate.
In her presentation, the president of said power established the appearance schedule, of those who must provide the information required for the corresponding legal expert report:
Wednesday, August 7 at 9 a.m. Manuel Rosales (UNT), José Luis Cartaya for the MUD, José Simón Calzadilla for the Movement for Venezuela are summoned.
The president of the TSJ warned that the absence of those mentioned “will entail consequences provided for in the current legislation.”
Last Friday, the Electoral Chamber requested that the CNE submit within three days the minutes of the scrutiny and totaling of the electoral tables at the national level, as well as the minutes of the adjudication and proclamation of the process.
