The authorities of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) rejected the request for annulment of legislative elections, made by Vamos, ARENA and Nuestro Tiempo.
“The arguments of the appellants do not contain elements that allow, on a preliminary basis, to establish how the alleged irregularities prevented the due correlation from being maintained between the will of the electoral body and the result that was finally obtained in that election,” he indicated. the TSE through a statement.
Despite the fact that Salvadorans demonstrated massive support for the Nuevas Ideas deputies through their votes, opposition legislators continue to present requests for annulment, since parties such as Vamos, ARENA and Nuestro Tiempo were left with one or zero representatives in the Legislative Assembly.
It should be noted that, during the final scrutiny of the legislative elections, there was the participation of various political parties and institutions that ensured an efficient, transparent and legal process.
