On the night of this Monday, February 19, the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) announced the official results of the elections for deputies for the Legislative Assembly, making the new plenary session official for the period 2024-2027.
“The New Ideas party obtained 54 deputies and their respective substitutions; the PCN obtained 2 deputies and their respective substitutes; the PDC obtained a deputy and his respective substitute; ARENA, obtained 2 deputies and their respective substitutions; The VAMOS party obtained a deputation and its respective replacement,” explained the presiding judge of the TSE, Dora Martínez.
Likewise, he confirmed that the leaders of Nuestro Tiempo, Fuerza Solidaria, FMLN, CD, and GANA did not win any seats. On the other hand, he asserted that the Collegiate Body worked in accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Law, counting each vote in a transparent manner, in total adherence to the will of the Salvadoran people expressed at the polls.
