The comic-police series “Tschugger” reveals the daily life of a police station in Upper Valais. While it has been a hit in German-speaking Switzerland since its beginnings, the third season might well awaken the interest of the French-speaking public thanks to the duo Vincent Veillon and Vincent Kucholl.
Co-produced by SRF and Shining Film, the series “Tschugger”, which tells the story of the life of a police station in Upper Valais, has triumphed in German-speaking Switzerland since its first season broadcast in 2021. Its success in French-speaking Switzerland still remains discreet, but it might well take off thanks to sequences filmed in Bas-Valais and the presence in the credits of actors Vincent Veillon and Vincent Kucholl.
A merger between Haut and Bas-Valais
In this new season, while Pirmin (Dragan Vujic) discovers the joys of fatherhood and Bax (David Constantin) tries to rebuild his life outside the canton, a hidden will and two murders disrupt their routine. In addition, the merger of the Haut and Bas-Valais police stations forces officers to share their offices. To this fine team is therefore added an improbable French-speaking duo – Jean-Pierre and Jean-Claude – played by Vincent Kucholl and Vincent Veillon.
“I am a big fan of the two Vincents, I have seen their shows. And I like working with people whose work I appreciate,” explains David Constantin, director and actor of the series in the 7:30 p.m. of December 12.

“Tschugger” – whose title means “cop” in the Upper Valais dialect – was largely filmed in Valais, particularly in the French-speaking part of the canton for this third season.
Crazy and crazy, the idea for this series, in dialect with French, German and Italian subtitles, was actually born eleven years ago when director David Constantin and his gang created a humorous web series called “Tschutter”. Now, the group of friends from the time has turned professional and the web series has become “Tschugger”.
