Some will say that he showed audacity, others that this cult of the FJKM was not the appropriate occasion to strike all their truths regarding the Malagasy leaders of yesterday and today. Pastor Zaka Andriamampianina said aloud what many Madagascans think quietly. He painted in his sermon an unvarnished picture of the current situation and it was verses from the Bible that allowed him to portray the state in which the country finds itself today.
Truths that needed to be told
It is first of all the misappropriation of votes during the elections held in Madagascar that this pastor vigorously denounced from the very first words he uttered. They were addressed to the leaders without any precise date, but the consequences are quite visible today. The audience immediately understood that he was referring implicitly to the current situation. He affirmed that a power installed in these conditions had no solid foundations. Relying on the armed forces to ensure a certain stability was illusory. It is a real charge that he led once morest the regime’s decision to give pride of place to military equipment compared to the budget of other sectors. He wondered if it was not better to take care of the education of young people. He returned to all the events that have happened in recent times. He made particular reference to the resignation of the Governor of the Central Bank. He of course returned to the living conditions of the Malagasy people who ” no longer have pots today because they were stolen from them “. Environmental problems were also mentioned, in particular that of the possible shortage of water. The enormous mineral wealth available to the Big Island was also mentioned. The many political figures present certainly heard their ears ringing while listening to this sermon. Some regime dignitaries did not like it and spoke of a political speech. In the current context, this had to be said to put leaders before their responsibilities.
