GmbH founders Benjamin A. Huseby and Serhat Işık, who have been appointed creative directors of Trussardi since June last year, also presented their first answers at the 2022 Autumn/Winter Milan Fashion Week. The 2022 autumn and winter series show was placed in the demolished store and restaurant of Trussardi’s headquarters in the center of Milan. The story of the street’s dress code intertwined, layer by layer, unveils the face of the new series.
The two designers cut from their surroundings, people’s everyday wear. Benjamin A. Huseby and Serhat Işık have reinvented the massive 100g Italian pomina down jacket as the basis for the Fall/Winter 2022 collection, rendered in black and grey, with a focus on silhouette, material and technique. Benjamin A. Huseby and Serhat Işık said: “Clothing has the ability to give you attention, like a magic cape, it can make you invisible, it can make you visible. Like Cinderella or a superhero, the cape That is armor. We hope that when people return to this historic building in Trussardi, they can feel that Trussardi has always conveyed the spirit of fashion in a way of equality and inclusiveness, and that all people can be empowered.”
In addition, the show music combines the backgrounds of the two designers and the origins of Trussardi. The music opens with the German industrial music pioneer band Einstürzende Neubauten, which is good at using pneumatic drilling machines as instruments, and ends with an arrangement by musician Roberto De Simone from 17 A piece from the musical La Gatta Cenerentol, an allegorical fairy tale of the century.
