Olympic silver medalist Alexandra Trusova withdrew from the Russian figure skating championship
The figure skater refused to perform at the Russian Championship in Krasnoyarsk “for medical reasons”

Silver medalist of the 2022 Olympic Games figure skater Alexandra Trusova withdrew from the Russian Figure Skating Championships in Krasnoyarsk. This was reported to journalists by the press attache of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) Olga Yermolina.
The federation clarified that Alexandra Trusova withdrew from the Russian championship for medical reasons.
Trusova won silver at the Beijing Olympics in single skating. She is also a bronze medalist at the 2021 World Championships and a two-time bronze medalist at the European Championships. In the fall, the figure skater moved from the group of Eteri Tutberidze to coach Svetlana Sokolovskaya, who has her young man Mark Kondratyuk.
The Olympic medalist this season took part in two stages of the Russian Grand Prix in Sochi and Samara, in which Trusova took third and second places, respectively.
The Russian Figure Skating Championship takes place from 20 to 25 December in Krasnoyarsk.
