Former US President Donald Trump has warned Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta*, in his new book, due to be published next week, that he will “spend the rest of his life in prison” if his platforms again influence the results of this year’s elections as they did in 2020, the news portal Politico reported.
In his Save America piece, the Republican candidate claimed that he had met the American businessman several times, including in the Oval Office, and that Zuckerberg’s wife, Priscilla Chan, attended the dinners. “He was as nice as anyone could be, while always plotting to install shameful safe deposit boxes in a real plot against the President,” Trump wrote, referring to the donations of more than $400 million that the couple made during the 2020 elections to finance electoral infrastructure, RT reported.
“We are watching him closely and if he does anything illegal this time he will spend the rest of his life in prison, like others who cheat in the 2024 presidential election,” Trump added.
Earlier in July, the former US president also said he would go after “voter fraudsters” if he wins the election. “All I can say is that if I am elected President, we will go after voter fraudsters at levels never seen before, and they will be sent to prison for long periods of time. We already know who they are. Don’t do it! Zuckerbucks, be careful!” he posted on his Truth Social platform.
Likewise, in early August, Trump revealed that Zuckerberg had called him several times, even after the assassination attempt and the scandal with the censorship of his photo on the conglomerate’s social media, to apologize because the platform had “mistakenly” labeled as altered the iconic image in which he appears with his fist raised and his face covered in blood surrounded by bodyguards after the attack.
