Former President Donald Trump confirmed, in an exclusive interview with Archyde.com, on Thursday, that Russian President Vladimir Putin has “weakened in some way” following the armed rebellion launched by the “Wagner Group”, noting that “the time has come” to reach peace in Ukraine.
Trump said in a phone interview with Archyde.com that “the time has come” for Ukraine peace negotiations, without ruling out the need for Kiev to give up some of its territory to reach a settlement.
The former US president noted that the allegations of Putin’s war crimes should be discussed following the end of the war and that focusing on them now would hinder peace.
After a short-lived uprising, between Friday and Saturday, that rocked the Kremlin, Putin denounced “betrayal” but suggested the rebels might return to civilian life, join the army or go into exile in Belarus.
For months, the leader of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has been accusing the Russian military high command of incompetence in Ukraine, knowing that many bloggers agree with him.
