Trump responds to ‘Queen’s Journey’: Written by ‘Polluted Person’

In a new biography of Queen Elizabeth II, “A Journey Around the Queen,” Craig Brown writes that the queen thought Trump was “very rude” and was critical of him, while Trump often spoke of his admiration for the late queen.

“Over the course of her reign, Her Majesty has received many controversial foreign leaders, including Bashar al-Assad, Robert Mugabe, Idi Amin, Donald Trump, Emperor Hirohito and Vladimir Putin,” Brown wrote.

“She probably didn’t find their company enjoyable, and when they left, she might have expressed her disapproval in a code word,” he added. “A few weeks after President Trump’s visit, for example, she confided in one of her lunch guests that she found him extremely rude. She particularly hated the way he couldn’t stop looking over her shoulder, as if he were looking for other, more interesting people.”

The former US president, who is running for the White House again, quickly dismissed Brown’s claims as “completely false.”

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Trump said: “I have no idea who the writer was, but it was the exact opposite. I had a great relationship with the Queen. I liked her and loved her.”

“We spent hours together at a formal dinner,” he continued. “She was a wonderful woman. I think it’s a shame that someone so tainted could write an article that was completely false. In fact, I’ve always heard the opposite. I heard that I was her favorite boss, she used to say that to a lot of people.”
