“Whatever he touches turns to shit,” Trump said at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday evening. “I will prevent World War III,” he promised his followers.
“God save the people of Israel. They are currently under attack because we have shown great weakness. This would not have happened if I had been in office,” Trump said. “What’s wrong with the world? Everyone is fighting. Russia, Ukraine, Israel, the Middle East is exploding. Everything is exploding. The next ones are China with Taiwan. (…) Bring Donald Trump back as president and it will stop.”
In recent weeks, Trump has increasingly relied on anti-war rhetoric in order to score points in the election campaign. He is also seen as the driving force behind the blockade of billions of dollars in US military aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan in the US House of Representatives. Trump repeatedly emphasizes that the USA did not go to war during his term in office. Relations with Iran had deteriorated massively under Trump. In 2018, the Republican announced his withdrawal from the international agreement limiting Iran’s nuclear program, whereupon the mullahs’ regime resumed uranium enrichment and, according to experts, is close to acquiring nuclear weapons.
