British Sky News quoted a complaint filed by Trump campaign lawyers in which the campaign team called for an investigation into what was alleged to be “blatant foreign interference” in the elections by the Labor Party.

The complaint filed with the US Federal Election Commission alleged that there had been “interference” in the form of “clearly illegal foreign national contributions made by the UK Labor Party” which were “accepted” by Kamala Harris’ campaign.

A Washington Post report showed that “strategists linked to the British Labor Party were advising Kamala Harris on how to win back disaffected voters and run the campaign.”

The Telegraph also reported that Morgan McSweeney, Sir Keir Starmer’s chief of staff, and Matthew Doyle, his communications director, “attended a conference in Chicago and met with Harris’ campaign team.”

Sky News indicates that there is no evidence that the Labor Party made any financial contributions to the Democratic campaign.

Some Trump allies objected to Labor staff volunteering for the Harris campaign, even though this is permitted under US law as long as said volunteers are not compensated for their work.

The Telegraph also reported earlier that the Labor Party would send about 100 of its current and former employees to help Harris in the electoral race. The newspaper indicated that Republicans are angry at the Labor Party’s plan and warned that such a step would harm relations between the United Kingdom and the United States if Trump wins the elections.

For its part, the Labor Party insists that its efforts comply with strict US election rules, under which foreign volunteers cannot spend more than $1,000 to help candidates.

Earlier, the leader of the right-wing British Reform Party, Nigel Farage, accused the Labor Party, which is in power, of interfering in the American elections.

American businessman Elon Musk also described it as illegal to send Labor Party employees to the United States to help Kamala Harris in the elections.

The US presidential elections are scheduled to be held on November 5, and the Democratic Party will be represented by US Vice President Kamala Harris, and the Republican Party will be represented by former President Donald Trump.
