Truckers are reorganizing

Many participants in the freedom convoy say they have not finished making themselves heard despite the police intervention to make them leave Ottawa, but they were waiting, early Monday evening, for the result of the vote in the Commons to decide on their strategy.

“We wrote the first chapter, now we are starting the second chapter, and it will be delicious. Lots of things will happen now, ”launched Vincent Picard on Sunday, in a video on Facebook which has accumulated more than 6,700 shares and 74,000 views.

He was one of many Quebecers who decided to protest in front of parliament in recent weeks, but was also present at the supply camp on Coventry Street.

On Sunday, the vast majority of protesters demanding an end to health measures left on their own, but the authorities intervened at the end of the followingnoon to force the most recalcitrant to leave.

It is not finished

However, several of the demonstrators indicated on social networks that they had regrouped in order to reorganize and continue the fight.

“All the trucks, all our stock, everything people gave us, we took it on board. […] There is a large group of truckers who are still together in different places, where they have the right to be, ”supported Robert Dorion on Facebook.

Some ended up in Arnprior, others in Embrun.

About 100 vehicles also went to Vankleek Hill on Sunday. But when passing the Journal Monday, the vast majority had left the scene, to a destination that is still unknown.

Few details

However, the protester remained stingy with details regarding what form the protest would take.

One thing is certain, the vote to maintain the Emergencies Act seems to influence future decisions.

“Is it over? No, it’s far from over. […] We are waiting to see with the result of[lundi] evening, ”said Vincent Picard to his subscribers on Monday, assuring that a strategy is being developed.

“The second wave is coming and it will spank hard in sacrament”, assured Vincent Picard.

The Ottawa police would not indicate Monday how many Quebecers have been arrested since last Friday with the major operation to dislodge the demonstrators.
